What is the Battery?
Battery is an alternative method for paying network fees developed by the Tonkeeper team.
It can be used when there is no GRAM in the balance or when the amount is insufficient to cover the network fee. With it, you can send or swap tokens at any time by paying network costs using charges.
How does the Battery work?
Here’s how the Battery works: when you initiate a transaction, we estimate the required GRAM amount, credit it to your wallet, and then deduct the equivalent charges from your Battery balance.
Which transactions can I use the Battery for?
The Battery can be used for the following operations:
- Swaps in a "token + token" or "token + GRAM" pair. Example: USDT - NOT or USDT - GRAM
- Transfers of USDT (TRC20) and any TON-based tokens
- NFT transfers
The number of charges depends on the transaction type:
- Token swap: ~130 charges (applies to TON network tokens)
- Sending tokens and NFTs: ~5 charges (applies to TON network tokens)
- Sending USDT (TRC20): ~700 charges
📌 Important: the Battery doesn't apply to sending GRAM.
How to charge the Battery?
You can buy Battery charges in a few ways:
- With GRAM and tokens based on TON:
- Go to the Battery page (Settings > Battery).
- Select the token you want to use for purchasing charges: GRAM, USDT, jUSDT, NOT, DOGS, CATI, CATS, tsTON, X, MAJOR, PX, BUILD, HMSTR, MEMHASH.
- Enter a purchase amount equivalent to $3. For example, if you are buying charges with NOT, the number of tokens should equal $3 at the current rate.
- With a bank card via the App Store or Google Play:
- Go to the Battery page.
- Select a suitable plan (large, medium, or small) and tap the amount next to it.
- Make sure your Apple or Google Play account has sufficient funds and confirm the purchase.
How to get a refund for a Battery purchase?
You can request a refund for a Battery purchase within 14 days of the purchase. The process depends on the payment method:
- If you paid with GRAM or tokens:
- Go to Settings > Battery.
- Tap 'Charge History'.
- Find the transaction (within the last 14 days) and tap 'Details'.
- If you paid via the App Store or Google Play:
You need to request a refund directly from Apple or Google, as Tonkeeper cannot handle in-app purchase refunds.
