What is a recovery phrase?

The recovery phrase, also known as the seed phrase or mnemonic phrase, is the key to accessing your wallet. It consists of 12 or 24 words. It is important to carefully write it down in the exact order it was generated and to securely store it. Please be aware that the seed phrase is the only way to access your wallet and assets, and it cannot be recovered if lost.

How to restore the recovery phrase?

Your recovery phrase is known only to you, and the Keeper team has no access to it. Unfortunately, if you haven't saved your recovery phrase or have lost it, you won't be able to access your wallet. Other methods, such as a phone number or email address, cannot be used to access your wallet.

Can I change my recovery phrase?

You can't change your recovery phrase. You can only access your wallet using the same sequence of 12 or 24 words that was generated when the wallet was created.

If you've shared your recovery phrase with anyone else, we recommend creating a new wallet as soon as possible and transferring the remaining funds to it.

Can words repeat in a recovery phrase?

Yes, words in a recovery phrase can repeat — this is not an error. A recovery phrase is generated randomly, so the same word may appear multiple times. There's no need to worry about this.
